In the fast-paced world of property management, last-minute adjustments are sometimes unavoidable — and at RentalWise, we understand how crucial flexibility is for maintaining streamlined operations.
Within your RentalWise account, you have full control to delete, modify, or unassign specific content safely and efficiently. In this article, we’ll walk you through the available deletion options across different modules and share a few tips & tricks to help you avoid common issues.
You can delete properties that were either created manually or imported from Airbnb.
When a property is deleted, it is scheduled for permanent removal within 24 hours, giving you time to cancel the deletion if needed.
Before scheduling a deletion, make sure to disconnect all connected channels (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, etc.).
Failing to disconnect will trigger an error prompting you to do so first.
These items can be deleted easily only after you unassign all properties linked to them.
If they are still associated with one or more properties, deletion will be blocked until you remove the assignment.
Messages cannot be deleted but can be moved to SPAM or ARCHIVE to keep your inbox organized.
You can delete message templates only if they’re not attached to an active automation.
If a template is currently used in an automation, you must unassign it first before deletion.
Tip: Always double-check which automations use your templates before removing them to prevent breaking existing workflows.
Guests can be deleted only if they are not the main guest on a booking.
Example: If John is the main guest and Mary is a secondary guest (partner), you can delete Mary but not John.
Partners can be deleted anytime.
Once deleted, if you re-invite them later, you’ll need to recreate their access from scratch, and they’ll lose access to previous messages and shared data.
You can delete any user from your account.
If you wish to re-invite them later, you’ll need to start the invitation process from scratch.
Payment schedules can be created, edited, or deleted at any time to match your cash flow and accounting needs.
These can also be deleted; however, we strongly recommend this option only for advanced users.
Removing these items while your properties are connected to OTA channels (like Airbnb or Booking.com) may cause data mismatches or sync issues.
Always double-check dependencies (like automations, property links, or OTA connections) before deleting content.
Use the archive or deactivate options when possible instead of full deletion — this maintains data integrity and historical tracking.
When in doubt, reach out to RentalWise Support before deleting major data types such as properties or amenities.
By understanding how deletions work within each module, you can maintain a clean, well-organized workspace while minimizing errors and ensuring your operations continue to run smoothly.
