Expanding your property’s reach across multiple OTA platforms is crucial for maximizing bookings and revenue. With this goal in mind, RentalWise offers integration with Expedia—but there are specific guidelines to follow before going live.
Expedia is NOT available as a direct integration in RentalWise like other channels (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com). It can only be accessed through VRBO (if you offer Instant Booking) or via our partner RentalsUnited.
If your properties are Instant Book-able on VRBO, once your listing is live on VRBO, it will automatically be displayed on Expedia.
Here’s what to keep in mind:
You MUST have Instant Booking enabled on VRBO—manual approvals (Request to Book) are NOT eligible for Expedia.
Both VRBO and Expedia bookings will be managed through the VRBO channel view in RentalWise.
Any updates (such as rates, availability, and content) will sync across both platforms via VRBO.
If you don’t want to list on VRBO but still want to connect to Expedia, you’ll need to use RentalsUnited, a third-party distribution partner that integrates with RentalWise.
Here’s how it works:
Connect your RentalWise account with RentalsUnited via the Integrations tab.
From RentalsUnited, you can distribute your properties to Expedia and many other OTAs.
Manage your Expedia bookings through RentalsUnited while still syncing core data from RentalWise.
Direct Expedia integration is not available—you must go through VRBO (Instant Book only) or RentalsUnited.
Manage VRBO and Expedia bookings via the VRBO channel view in RentalWise.
Choose RentalsUnited if you want to bypass VRBO and still access Expedia.
Having a clear understanding of these options will make the Expedia connection seamless and ensure your listings are efficiently managed.
