Expanding your property’s visibility across multiple OTAs is crucial, and Google Vacation Rentals (GVR) is one of the best ways to reach travelers searching directly on Google Maps and Google Search. By connecting to Google Vacation Rentals, your RentalWise Website will be indexed and displayed on these platforms, increasing your chances of direct bookings.
Important Note
You MUST have your RentalWise website ready and your properties enabled BEFORE going live on GVR. This also applies if you have:
A custom-built website.
A custom domain added to your RentalWise website.
How to Connect Your RentalWise Account to Google Vacation Rentals
Follow these 3 simple steps to integrate your properties:
Step 1: Enable Google Vacation Rentals in RentalWise
1. Log in to your RentalWise account.
2. Navigate to Integrations > Add Channel.
3. Select Google Vacation Rentals from the available options.
Step 2: Configure Google Vacation Rentals Settings
You will see a configuration form where you must fill out the following fields:
Channel Name – Internal use only (e.g., "Google VR" or "GVR").
Brand Name – The business/brand name you want guests to see on Google.
Property URL Template – This MUST match the Properties section of your RentalWise Website:
Example: https://rentalwisewebsite.rentalwise.net/search➤ IMPORTANT: Ensure you leave the
{{slug}}placeholder as is. This dynamically links to each property.Check-in/Check-out Date Format – Always set to YYYY-MM-DD .
➤ Using any other format will cause errors.
Once all fields are completed, click SAVE.
Step 3: Connect Properties to Google Vacation Rentals
1. Go to the Google Vacation Rentals channel view in RentalWise.
2. Click on CONNECT for each property you want to publish on Google.
Things to Remember:Connection time to go live on GVR does NOT depend on RentalWise.
Currently, we CANNOT provide an exact timeframe, but GVR has reported that listings usually go live within 24 hours.
